Myself and a colleague have stayed regularly on business recently. We have found the hotel to be of a good standard on the whole. I especially like the leisure facilities. The hot tub is lovely.Dinner has always been excellent. The salmon and the sirloin steaks are mouth-wateringly delicious.Service at dinner time is good.

Breakfast service is extremely poor when there are large parties to be catered for. This week, we had a dreadful experience of breakfast. It was like a free for all.There were work experience staff on duty, who had only started, and gave us wrong information about cooked to order food. I ordered porridge ( which I have had many times before ) only to be told 10 minutes later that there was none. We both ordered smoked haddock and poached eggs. Again we were told after another 10 minutes that there wasn't any smoked haddock. Our eggs arrived separately, my colleagues were hard and cold, and arrived 5 minutes before mine. There were no cereal bowls or plates until we asked. Queues for everything. Toaster only does one side.No cold meats available, very little fruit.The fruit juice was watered down, therefore undrinkable. By the time you caught someone's attention to ask, time did not allow for you to finish your breakfast, as we had to leave. We were in the dining room almost an hour, which is unacceptable. Things were not replenished in a timely way, and the dining room did not seem to have any manager present, with staff wandering around, clearing tables one glass or cup at a time. One of them cleared my plate ,which I hadn't finished with, while I was trying to find someone about another query. We would not have paid £14.95 for this fiasco.

Excellent facilities and meals. Just back from short break with a group of children and found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would be more than happy to use this hotel for a family holiday.

we have stayed here in the past before it changed hands and it was dreadful. we were in two minds whether to come again but it is convienient for visiting relatives I am so glad we did as it has changed beyond recognition. The rooms are great the service is excellent. The staff cant do enough for you. I would gladly come again.

the only thing is the cost of breakfast.We did have lunch there and it was of very good quality
